Cultural design narrative
A new play sequence takes broad cues from Anatolian courtyard organisation and the social role of historic route-side meeting places. The form is reduced to child-scaled playable arches, shaded gathering and varied movement, without recreating a caravanserai or historic façade.
Stone-and-timber craft, shared courtyards and changing Anatolian landscapes translated into original play architecture.
Proposed play journey
- Gather beneath the shaded court
- Choose an arch, slide or rope route
- Match a pattern and share the discovery
Potential application: Parks, schools, resorts and residential communities
